But I'd make the "roots" overgrowing the leg a bit more, because it looks weak at the moment. Else a fine icon maybe filling up the background a bit more but that's all.

This is the original icon. You can see it's a part of the entangled person's armor.
Thank you for the feedback, I will add some more roots, but I'm afraid if it looks ugly in the end. However, I'll give it a try.

I agree with the other ppl too, more, thicker roots, You shouldnt be able to see the foot. Also, maybe make it like a forest with rooty grass. Roots shouldnt spring up and grab u unless ur near a tree
