It's difficult to tell what this actually is. You may want to consider shading the separate parts differently to separate the object from the dust. Possibly making the background, dust, etc, colored differently to make the object itself easier to distinguish.

it is hard to tell dust from drill but i wouls suggest you made the dust lighter so the sparks and dust was lid up.
make them yellow/orange/white i think that would be good. and by that i mean bright colors
Ah. I'm colorblind so that did no good for me. Could you work on something else, maybe changing the shading style of the machine to make it darker than the dust?
The whole icon becomes really easy to be recognized when you know the actual corresponding model. May I have a look at the big picture? This one looks really interesting.
