enjoy: The thumb is too short. I think you should use some pictures for reference to your drawing.
The purple outline makes the whole thing blend a bit together, so you should instead use highlights and shading to define your drawing.
Instead of the purple outline, use a purple shading. You can find lots of tutorials on deviant art. Here is an example.

I don't see 'frost' when I look at it, more like water. You should use a much ligther, since ice is mostly white with a tint of blue. The blue outline color also takes too much focus. I don't like the background. Maybe a white-ish aura with snow flakes?

They were actually meant as outlines, I think it creates a nice effect. You can see the other gloves has sorta the same thing going on.
However I think you're right nonetheless. I should probably try to create a glow effect instead as it would be more in tune with the theme.

I tried to create a frosty effect. Ye it turned out a bit blurry. I'm running on my 26th hour so I can't do anything about it right now
