enjoy: The cannon part looks decent enough, though a bit more contrast wouldn't hurt.
But, the blast needs a bit rework. There is a a lot of smoke when a cannon fires, which is lit up by the explosion in the barrel. This is what it looks like. You could use that as a reference.
Here is a explosion tutorial. You can use that method, when drawing the explosion.
