Kinda too dark, but looks good. Do you draw in 64x64?
If yes... then you are meaby destroying border a bit. Border have not just gray colors at perimeter.
It is like that: 1 pixel black, 2 pixels greay, 3 pixest transparent black fading inside. I have uploaded one of icons I made but it got reworked... anyway, it is resized and pixels are still visible.

I actually use ButtonManager to put the borders, i don't do it manually on PS. =)

(oh yes, i make them in the actual size)
