About the icon now...
It is too dark from the left side, shadows on chest making it looks too round. The net looks very linear, but segment looks fine.
The colour of material it very stong that makes shading very bright than usual. The white color doesnt seems like to fit well and it is not shaded enough. The armor blends into the background in some places. Also, the armor is small for the icon and have to be maximum zoomed it even if it will cost to hide lower part.

sweet! thanks for the great feedback When making skins I rarely have to worry about lighting so this is all new ground for me

Now when NFW has Grin(d)ed his axe... Maybe try a slight glow around the armor to make it more appealing?

From the current scope, it looks kinda like a vase... but a very sexy vase at that.

The icon could be bigger, and the right side of the chest doesn.t seem to match/be symmetrical with the left. The Stomach area looks like a corset-like thing, but that's alright.
