It looks quite flat. Not like a fluffy and yummy cake.
And chocolate cakes is darker (at least the ones i eat)

make the left side of the cake a little darker (would show you what i mean if i had photoshop on my pc installed -_-") And shading. It needs a lot more shading. It looks too flat, maybe change the background to something better (like some sugar aura around it ^^).

You need to define it more and add tons of shading. Take a light source reference and start shading from there.

I swear the cake is a lie! anyway, can you post a big image, can't see it too well that small, but from what I can tell it's all very monotone with very little shading I particularly dislike the cross-section part of the cake, it looks incredably bland.
