The blood looks good, but I dont rly like the background

Lacks four of five things important for an icon: color variation, shadows, highlights and background. You only hit the originality.

[2] More saturation
[3] More shading
[4] Less highlights (imo blood is dark and thick in large quantities)

Those spots that are darker, I guess those are supposed to be differences in thickness/color? They look really bad. You should remove those and add color variance like Apheraz said.
