1. That spell is an autocast (but that can be easily ignored)
2. The background distracts us from the main focus of the icon, in this case, namely the beetle.
Also, the beetle is not really placed as the focus of the icon. Too little detail makes it seem like just another element of the icon, in other words, your icon shows scenery, not the beetle.
