Bone Axe

Reactions: deepstrasz
Here's a bone axe for your barbaric use. The axe blade is made of stone or obsidian; whatever you'd rather pretend it's made of.

I think it looks well enough, considering the low file size, but as always if anyone wants to change it for their own personal preference, feel free to; you don't even need to ask, as long as you give credits for the original.

Update (same day as upload)
--Made axe slightly smaller and moved it slightly to fit better into a villager's hand.

Update 10/15/12
--Made slight change to wrap of axe blade.

The pack is up! Check out the [thread=223860]Bone Pack[/thread] for a convenient download!

1: Rofl. Please edit your post. You probably didn't realize how terrible that sounds when you typed it, but read what you wrote a few times until you understand what's wrong with it.

2: It looks how I want it to look. The blade is stone; the handle is bone, wrapped with cloth. I actually tried many different textures, and I decided that the one I used on the bone looked the way that I wanted it to. I know there are some textures that look better, but they don't have the same style. I'm not saying I won't ever change it, but if I do, it will only be if I find a texture with the same style, with better resolution.

Edit: I'm still laughing at how wrong that comment sounds. XD

Ehhh. Well, the texture wrap on the body of the axe isn't up to par. The "Blade" doesn't even really look like a blade it looks like some feathers.

The axe is serrated.

I wasn't actually looking at any images while I made the axe, but I was sort of remembering that axe from a game I used to play a few years ago, so I just googled the item name to find an image to show you, so that you might understand why it looks this way.

Also, I used the helmet feathers on the spellbreaker texture to wrap the axe. It's like that on purpose.

Yeah, IMO too. :vw_sad: How about using the texture from the Forest Troll's thrown axes? They're sweet stoneblades.

Sorry, but the forest troll axes are way too simple for my taste.
