I Made it by the tutorial in War3 Model Editor.

the tools there are a fine set of free mdl editing programs that master General Frank, and I use in our models....unless of course you are already using them.

And the hands look weird because it's in a modeling program, blown up in size. It's not too noticeable in WC3, as it's the same as the regular footman is.
