this one seems nice, but i think you really should give it some variations. would be a lot better.
what i mean is making each of the 8 parts (rays, when drawing parallels with startfish) have slightly different texture. atm they all look like 8 exact same copies or mirrors.

Because it has spaces between branches, it doesn't look star like, I think this is approavable

i agree that this is approvable and quite nice (useful), but i suggest it might be improved to make it a lot better ^^

with maps being able to handle more doodads/data this is another useful small detail that would make or break any map
