I'm a big fan of AW and i wanna play it. But when i play i end up getting DESYNCED either 2-5 mins in game.. I really like playing it but i don't know how to get the desync to stop. Please help!
Which version are you in, who is usually the host and what is your average ping in game? I had a few desyncs (Especially a memorable one in WoW Risk) but kind of rarely, although I think I could still help you out
I don't have a mac. I'm using a windows right now, and my ping usually ranges to 40-60, The version I play is Azeroth Wars LR 1.75b.): And The host as in a bot is LHoT-AW
Below are the most widly used tactics to avoid desyncs.
1. Restart WC3 TFT (exit and then reopen) before playing the map. This resets all the data caches WC3 has after playing a map. Maps that have been effected by widgiitizer curropt this cache in a way that other maps will usually split you.
2. Play the map at maximum visual settings. Due to inconsistencies, 2 players playing at different graphic levels will split under some circumstances. As even a cheap PC can easilly max WC3 now it is advisable to go with the average and max all ingame visual settings.
3. Make sure your game is installed properly. Modifications or damage to the game data can result in splits when that data is recalled.
4. Make sure your internet connection is reliable. Connections with a high ratio of packet loss are prone to splits due to packet curroption.
5. Report the occurance of the split (what causes it) to the map maker. It might be a fault with the map that is easilly fixed.
