Attack waves

I'm trying to create an attack wave but apperently just adding a unit to an attack wave, a target and then sending it won't work. So does anyone know how they work and can explain it to me? Thanks

Okay, maybe not - I don't have a clue.

I would create units and order them to attack to a target point. Generally better to do that than use AI functions.
