«The Ashlanders are nomadic Dunmer tribes that inhabit the wild lands of Morrowind. In the Merethic era, there were no great differences between the Ashlanders and the settled Dunmer, but with the advent of the First Council and the rise of the Great Houses, they were gradually pushed back into the most severe and dangerous lands. They roam with their herds and set up camp in a place they like. The skins, bones and chitin of animals killed by hunters are used to build yurts, make armor, clothing and household items.»
