Alpha with The Gimp

I just need to know how to alpha with the Gimp?

Check any help topics that came with the GIMP for related things to alpha like " transparency, layers, alpha " etc. I don't think you can alpha with GIMP though but I heard you can...

oh, you can alpha with it alright. u can add em, and alpha stuff out. I have not yet tried to alpha anything out (bcuz i dont need 2) but if u can add the channels (its fairly simple, but i only figured it out 2day, and have to check to see how i did it, cuz my memory bites, lol!) u can damn well remove stuff too. It's late, and my brain is really messed up, but I'll try to alpha some stuff out tomorrow, and I'll post here when I've got it figured.
