Well, here's a little something i put together in my free time, there might be some spelling/grammar mistakes but thats prolly cuz i was pretty tired while doing most of this
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Into the night

‘T’was a peaceful night, not much people where outside and the light in the houses was dim, if not completely missing, Cornelius was taking a stroll through the town square, he took the road to the street leading to his house, he was almost half way there when he heard a bone tearing scream, a woman’s voice, a scream with such despair in it as if all the hopes and dreams of her life would die, he quickly head in the direction of the scream.

Finding three thugs, standing over a young girl, around 19 years of age he quickly charged the assailants grabbing the first one for the shoulder, just to be pushed away, he hit the dirt. Infuriated he jumped on his feet, grabbing a piece of what seemed to once be a good war-staff. He swung the wood at one of the assailants, but he just dodged it, crushing his elbow against Cornelius’s chest, Cornelius, left breathless crushed against the dirt once again, only this time standing up wasn’t as easy, and one of the assailants was towering over him. Cornelius barely got to move, when he saw a flash in the moonlight, just a shiny stripe in the dark alley, it was a silver dagger, looking like one a noble would use, soaring towards his throat, he quickly rolled away and the dagger stabbed the ground, Cornelius retaliated with the speed of a cornered cat, smashing his foot in the thug’s face. He didn’t get a good look at the thugs before, but now standing in the moonlight he finally saw the wolf skin garments on the assailant, and the wolf head with no bottom jaw, there were five steel claws on his left glove. A dark thought ran across Cornelius’s mind.
”No, it can’t be one of the Gray Men, they have been trapped with Ishal’Baeon for more than 7.000 years in the twisting nether”

The wolf-man interrupted his thoughts by charging at him, Cornelius was paralyzed with fear, the attacker looked like a wolf in the dim light charging at helpless deer, going for the throat, Cornelius closed his eyes, and a horde of thoughts swarmed him, he opened his eyes at the agonizing scream of what seemed to be a mid-aged man, the wolf-man was standing in the middle of the street face-down in a puddle of his own blood. Cornelius wide-eyed and full of fear, was shocked at the sight of the young lady, standing over three, what seemed to be very dangerous bandits, with a bloody dagger in her palm.
”How did you…How could … Wha..” mumbled Cornelius, “Shut up, and come with me” said the female with a steel voice of a hardened commander, though there was a childish ring to it- “Who are you?” intrigued Cornelius -“My name is not of your concern, what I am interested in is how did u manage to kill one of them with a stick?”,”Huh, I must’ve missed that part”
”Do not toy with me little boy, tell me how you managed to kill one of the Seekers with a fifteen inch piece of wood? A mere child of no more than seventeen years of age?”- Said the woman with irony and doubt in her voice.”I didn’t kill any one, especially not one of your Seekers, I just crawled in the mud, like a coward, people say that’s what I always do. I guess they were right...”- The last sentence was pronounced with such dullness, it must have been said to him more than a few times.
“You boy might be a coward but you did kill one of them, and I intend to find out how…. My name is Jaina”
-”What are you doing here? And why did those men attack you? Who are you? How did…”
- “No questions.” Interrupted Jaina with a sharp tone. “We must hurry to Ashnorth Abbey, something is a foul here.
She pulled out a small pipe from her bag. She blew in it, and Cornelius’s head felt like that Seeker’s claws might not have missed, a brief moment that seemed like an eternity to Cornelius, his head pounded in agony. When it was finally over, three men in golden plated armor had joined them, and another woman, in the garments of a noblewoman with a timeless look on her face, she looked young yet aged with wisdom.
They approached the abbey, but none of the priests where there. Suddenly the ground in front of Jaina erupted, and a pair of undead arms pulled her from her feet, smashing against the rough dirt road, she lost all the air in her lounges. One of the men raised his arm and a white light scorched the undead creature, before Cornelius even realized, they were swamped with undead, Cornelius in the middle and the five mysterious people around him. Fighting the undead, Jaina’s blade, along with those of the three men shined with an intense white light, which ripped and scorched undead flesh and bone. The woman with the timeless look on her face wielded lightning and molten balls of fire, scorching and crushing the undead only using her mind. But the undead horde was never-ending, they were being pushed into a smaller and smaller circle until they were shoulder to shoulder hacking and slashing at the undead. Even the timeless woman abandoned her magic and took up a dagger against the undead. In the rumble of battle he heard Jaina’s voice scream “Inside the Abbey!”.
They slowly started making their way to the chapel grounds. When they finally reached the gates, the undead disappeared as abruptly as they had appeared. The darkness in between the pillars seemed to have mass, as if they weren’t just normal shadows, they pulsed waiting to devour the intruders. “My name is Larissa, and they are Jaina, Mandragor, Mathew and Luke”- Said the noblewoman.”We are paladins of the Council Of The Artheron”- interrupted Jaina. “And I am a mage of the Flows, and I should not be interrupted by my Keepers!” Said Larissa with such sharpness in her voice, it seemed she could cut through steel with it.”I’m sorry Serra Mashin, it shall not happen again”-replied Jaina.”Never mind that now, we need to find it before it’s too late.” “Wait a second!” Rebelled Cornelius.” I have been dragged off into the night by a Snake Tongue and her Servants, into a horde of undead, and now you speak in riddles and half phrases all the time, I’m not moving another step until I get some answers. Now-“ he was interrupted by the sudden incapacitation, he could not move, nor could he speak, he couldn’t even breathe, it was as though the air around him was solid steel. After a few moments it loosened up and he fell to his knees.”Watch your tongue, boy, do not insult the mothers of knowledge, treat them with respect and cherish their existence, for they are the only thing standing between you and The Father Of The Night.”- said a steel male voice. “Enough” yelled Larissa “We must move, now!” she commanded…

A rude Awakening

“Where are we going?” inquired Cornelius as if he didn’t believe the five mysterious people.”Well I guess it won’t do any harm if I told you”- replied Jaina. “We are going to the tomb of Marcus, one of the most powerful dark magi in the world”.
“But what harm could he do to us if he is dead?”
- “He was one of the 9 Saints of the Great Purge, but after his hideous crimes of war, and his constant lust for power, he was banished from the holy order of the Saints, and tossed into the twisting nether. Saints can be killed but their life force still lingers in the netherworld, waiting to take physical form once again. So if his tomb is opened and his life force is summoned, he could be restored.” Cornelius was silent the rest of the way, though he did manage to see the darkness around the light of their torches. It was almost as if it was alive. Like a hungry predator, lurking, stalking them. It was ready to pounce on them in the blink of an eye. But there was an invisible barrier, between It and the small party of intruders. It was the light, though it seemed that the darkness was absorbing some of it.
“ What is that?” finally asked Cornelius, pointing in the shadows. “That is the Ereb’Damlion,or as u might know it, the Flow Of Doom. It means that one of the Unholy is in the vicinity. Probably at Marcus’s tomb” Said Larrisa
- “There” interrupted Jaina,” That’s the staircase leading to his tomb”. Two black figures abruptly charged from the shadows, moving with the fines of a poisonous viper, covered in hooded black garments.”Shades! Brace yourselves!” Yelled Larissa. The paladin’s blades shined with the same white light as before, and as Larissa embraced the flows of magic, the darkness backed off. The two dark figures pounced at the small party, dancing their deadly dance in between its members. The paladins were so busy defending themselves, they weren’t even thinking about attacking the Shades. Larissa evoked something that looked like a ring of molten rock, around her waist. One of the shades went for Cornelius, thrusting it’s blade at his neck. Time had slowed down for Cornelius, all he could see was the black blade of the dark hooded figure, soaring towards his throat, in the blink of an eye, he remembered what his father thought him when he was still a little boy, The Kollibri Flight, swirling out of the way of the blade, and smashing his elbow in the opponents chest. The Shade just moved back, seemingly untouched by the violent strike it took. A scream, like the one of a dying crow pierced Cornelius’s ears, and another followed just a few seconds later. They were the dying screams of the two shades.”Move!” yelled Larissa, as the torchlight died. The paladin’s blades shined with white light, and Larrissa had summoned two yellow orbs, pulsing with light keeping the darkness at bay. They were running down the stairs, and darkness around them twitched at the upcoming meal. They soon reached the tomb. One of the Unholy was indeed here, and there were twelve shades around him, chanting dark words.”By the light of Doman Entreb! Burn heretics!” Yelled Jaina and charged into the shades. They quickly dispersed breaking the perfect semi-circle they were forming. And charged at the small group. The paladins clashed into the shades. Slashing and hacking at them, the Shades just danced around them, dodging each blow with ease. Mathew was wounded by one of them, but Larissa managed to kill two of the hooded creatures. Cornelius tackled one of the creatures, and got an elbow to the chin in return. Falling to the black marble floor he lost consciousness.

He woke up with a cold, refreshing sensation. He opened his eyes at the sight of the clear night-sky, towering over the leafless branches of the winter trees, the stars could clearly be seen in it. Spring was late this year, and there was still snow in the forests and on the mountains.”Are you alright?” asked Jaina.”You took quite a hit back there.”
– “I’m fine replied” Cornelius, ”Where are Luke and Mathew?”-“The shades got them.”,
- “Did they release Marcus?”
- “No, Larissa wounded the unholy one, and he was forced to flee , but the shades were after us when we left, I think they lost us though.”.
“We must reach Andar’manal tonight, or they will surely find us”-Said Larissa -“Lets move. And try to stick to the roads, shades don’t like to be seen”……
