This one isn't as much a new poem as it's an old one I've dusted and
re-worked. As most of my poems it's fairly personal, but I'm not completely
set with it. I just feel like it's not... Complete. Might be that it's too short,
but I kind of like the length, though I'm not sure.

Maybe someone else has some ideas.

As the world passes by
Here I stand.
Like a pole in the ground
On a beach,
In the sand.

Against me, soaring, is waves,
And the wind is screaming,
Meaning to end my foundation,
To fuel my unreal dreaming.

Here I stand,
As the world passes by.
Hopeless to move,
like a window
And the fly.

Whizzing about,
Ramming the glass,
I live day by day,

Trapped in the past.
