Abilities and Upgrades

Would anyone know how to turn an ability into an upgrade,
For example: Cleaving Attack is an ability and I want to make that an upgrade or research. I know it's possible, I just don't know how to do it.

Create custom upgrade, copy it's name and tooltip. Then, select ''Cleaving Attack'' ability in object editor and add your upgrade in ''Techtree Requirements''.

Don't forget to set ''Check Dependencies'' to true.

If you want to hide ''Cleave'' icon create ''Spell Book'' ability with your ''Cleave'' and copy this trigger:

• Initialization
  • Events
    • Map initialization
  • Conditions
  • Actions
    • For each (Integer A) from 1 to 12, do (Actions)
      • Loop - Actions
        • Player - Disable <Spell Book> for (Player((Integer A)))

I'll use cleaving attack as an example.

Take Defend, the upgrade, change the name and icon to that of cleaving attack.
Then take Cleaving Attack, the ability, and under Techtree - Requirements add the newly made Cleaving Attack upgrade. Then add the ability and the upgrade to the unit you want.

Now, for the unit to be able to use Cleaving Attack, he must first research it.
