I think it would help shnoobs to know that TFT-only triggers converted to JASS can be used in ROC.

I was just reading a topic about making a unit's life go down while on a terrain type. One mentioned how it might take him an hour to create the code. It can be made using TFT GUI and then converted to custom script (JASS), saving lots of time and giving more hope and ideas to ROC mappers.

Exactly what's the proposition here Cheeder?

Administrators and Forum Moderators (with the administration's approval) may create sticky threads. However such threads must be far more clear, detailed and informative than the information included above.

Wolverabid,
There's not much i can add to this. It's common sense. It's only a matter of displaying TFT triggers in JASS and posting them here as tutorials.

If i did it this is how i'd show it..

TRIGGER DESCRIPTION

-Trigger in GUI using VB-

-Picture of the convert to custom script-

-Posted as JASS-

Instuctions for ROC mappers to create new trigger then click on "Custom script", then paste JASS.

This "hint" is more beneficial for universal triggers like for the trigger mentioned above (for mazes).

Someone with TFT need only make the simple trigger,
If a unit enters tile of type, kill unit
Convert it to JASS then paste it here.

ROC mappers don't have that option in World Editor, but with simple conversion from a willing helper, they can.

Oh, and it doesn't have to be it's own sticky, probably just added with the other useful tips and "read-me-first's".
