I have a simple problem, that hopefully someone has an answer to.

I have 6 different objects that I have as editable meshes. How do I merge them into one mesh? I am trying to draw a face between them, but I can only select points to draw a face with on one mesh at a time.

I am using 3dsmax 9 though, since I dont have a copy of the far more useful 5.

I am not experienced with mesh-editing, but speaking from what I know of poly-editing, I would say you should attach the various models together, if that is not available with mesh-editing, then try your hand with making it a group. If none of these will fix the problem, write in this thread again and I'll try to turn on Max myself to find and fix the problem.

Ah much thanks, it was indeed the attach button. For some reason it wasnt working before when I tried that, but when I restarted the program it all the sudden became attachable.

Dude never work in editable mesh. It's ancient and doesn't have nearly as much features as editable poly. Editable mesh is just faster, so if you have a scene with heavy geometry, convert all the models except the one you're working on to editable mesh. But use editable poly in every other case.
