I have a spell with a dummy with 522 speed, that moves into a straight line for 3 sec. When it dies, he has moved 3x522=1566 range right?

and at the spell shockwave, what do they mean with 'final area' and 'max damage' (when does it do max damage?)

I'm not 100% sure but it is my understanding that the difference between final area and the initial is how much it will expand. Basically having a high final area means it would blast out like a cone.

Maximum damage is how many times the damage can be dealt.

ie: Carrion Swarm with maximum damage of 200 and Collision damage of 100.

This means that it will collide TWICE and then it will be maxed out and deal no damage to units.

And yes your speed calc is right.
