I am working on a map project and need a terrain layout for it. It needs to be empty of targetable trees though with lots of building space. :eekani:

Requirements:
- Tile set: Ashenvale
- Tiles Required: Lumpy Grass, Dirt, Leaves, Poison
(Feel free to add in more, as those 4 are the only ones required.)
- Needs to have a "foresty" feel to the terrain. (Make sure trees cannot be targeted by resource gathering abilities.)
- 256x256 with a 32x32 empty space in the center of the map
- Needs to beable to hold at minimal 11 player bases with a large area (should atleast beable to put in 20 barracks in the area)
- NO destructable doodads should be present.
- All player buildable locations need to be reachable from the middle, with 2 ways minimal, in & out, enter & exit.
- All player locations need a "tactical" place to put towers with a min-max attack range of 900-3000 which can cover the entrance and exit.

Many requirements, I know. But it is what I need for the map.

Note: If you can help me with this project, reply to this thread. I need all this terrain done on the actual map, and not another map from where I am suppose to copy it from.

[Edit]: Sorry for not bringing this up earlier... I'm not asking someone to do all the terrain work for me, but to merely "input" some of thier terrain ideas into the map while I do 90% of the terrain. The requirements above just provide guidelines as to what I need if you would be able to work on the map project with me.

What I am asking is someone with an artistic talent to give the terrain a "uniqueness".

[Edit]: It has come to my knowledge that no one quite understands my request, so now i'm going to explain correctly what I am requesting.
I am asking for people with artistic terraining talent to work on 1 or more sections of my 256x256 map, only editing/adding a section no bigger than 32x32 to give the map a uniqueness in the terrain view.
I am not requesting that someone does all the work, I am not requesting that someone creates all my terrain for me, I am only asking that some people add in thier "finishing touch" to the terrain. This is why I said to reply to this thread if you are interested and not go about making terrain on a seperate map.

Sorry for the confusion. It may be 1-2 months before I finish the terrain because I am giving it some thought about where to place things and how I want it to look. I am not using custom doodads or anything. So far the map is coming out ok and I am constantly editing what I created to improve it.

The map is only about 14% done overall. I have about 65 units made, and have roughly 200 more to go. Here is the statistics:

Progress

Terrain: |||||||||| (2%)
Triggers: |||||||||| (21%)
Units: |||||||||| (22%)
Abilities: |||||||||| (9%)
Heros: |||||||||| (15%)

Overall: |||||||||| (13.8%)

It is a pretty simple map, strategy game catagory. Not much to it.
I have been working on it for about 2 weeks now.

I'll update the progress as I see fit.
[Edit]: Map progress put on hold until further notice.

Nice dream Dreknethema, and good luck with your dream.

Oh look, an idiotic reply... if you're not going to contribute INTELLIGENTLY, you may as well fuck off. You're being a dipshit, not a cocksucker. If he were being a cocksucker, he'd need a cock to suck.

Let's see... Hmm...
- use blizzard cliffs as 4 "tower spots" surrounding each base
- make each base in an almost random spot
- use blizzard cliffs with trees to both sides for the bases
- untick all boxes of "target as" to the trees you're using (causes the wanted effect here)
- try to make wavy kind of hill-land as your main open space, ashen-grass + dirty grass as tiles (ashen grass with some dirty grass "spots")
- place random flowers on the hill-land things, maybe some shrubs, however, shrubs look like giant bush weirdo things on them, flowers look "natural"
- use rocks in plenty of numbers
- use ashen dirt with dirty grass surrounding it for paths, looks wonderful, try to avoid rough dirt

If you follow those and some other tips, you should be able to do this yourself. Maybe :p
