Your icon request posting interested me (three of the views were mine) so I took a stab at it, unfortunately, with no success. All I accomplished was to resize and convert your original image into an icon.

Drawing a better laser itself may be for the true artistes. A quick www search yielded some decent graphics, for example: http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/lights/5a47/action/ However, to edit them to create a great looking laser icon exceeds my PSP/Photoshop talents.

everyone is titled to their opinion on requests, but your statement to reply to it(your reply to Teifa), its just flaming and childish.

oohhh...gonna bring up the past? Seriously, icons are easy to make, just follow the icon Tut and use a "good" program like Paintshop pro or Photoshop, dont use gimp..horrible..

just crop, resize, blur edges, darken save as DISBTN, and then click undo until you get back to resize and just cnp border and save. AND NO, im not doing something that easy to learn and its more convienent if you do it yourself until you get it and then you dont have to request anymore or complain about icon requests.

not saying that you have to be perfect at it, but..meh..dont care anymore...as you can tell iv edited my post.

Yes it is easy but what made it easy was 1 perfect image, i just recoloured it. Call it no skill, my principle is make it look awesome, no matter it is a photo from a site. This is not artwork but is much cooler to have even an icon made from a film than drawn.


Now thast what i call made for my needs. Even the table became lit in green light but thats real when i just recoloured the whole thing. Its realistic everything to be in green light and glow.

Prolly because im not an artist who uses self made cool drawings and i dont care about things created by me when the main pic as in this case from a site. As i said, the cooler and more realistic look is more important. Free hand here.

Hey Wolverabid do you want to do the easiest part? Cause i create models and would leave icons and how it's done for the end and as i said this is freehand since i used this cool image. Just make it with a border and a DISBTN like you did to my drawing and send it to [email protected], same filename pls.

And all green... this is done all with 1 colorify but imo is realistic as from the beam, the lens becomes green, the table, its ok.

P.S. can you also 'iconify' and send the 2nd as well ? Use a prog to edit the image, when you make it an icon, make the borders cover that black line that i had to add on the right to make the image square, so that it doesnt look ugly with the black.

I need your email because i can load the images only as jpg and i dont want to lose quality. I want to send you the 2 .bmp on email. Pm me your email and send the icons with their DISBTN and same file name back to the email i gave here.

You will like them. I dont want to show the source of that cool image i speak of and the 2nd i used from a film here, unless i have them on icons, so that no one does the thing i do before having them as icons. its like a sphere or a mine i use instead of grenades and bombs, its smth more futuristic.


Bla bla bla in short give me your email Wolverabid, i send them to you, you make them into icons (they are already AxA images they are ready for just adding border and DISBTN no need to make anything send me ur email and u c), you will like them, you send them back to this email in the form of BTN DISBTN, i upload the link of the cool image if someone else likes it and would make his own laser icons and i upload the 2nd image if someone decides to have the same icon. Im talking about uploading a jpg of the icons, not the icons themselves so that the others see how they look

Wow, now thats a turnover. If you dont give a damn about what people say about your requests, why request? Oh, and /ignored doesnt stop me posting, you should keep that in mind, yeah? Just a tip.

Hmmmm, I think I can help you get your request done. Heres my suggestion - have you tried using the word 'please'? That often helps

This is a request thread not a 'politness discussion' one go to make 1 on the offtopic if you want.

No, I'm not talking about you saying please or not, I'm saying that you aren't very polite in a few of your posts in this thread.

requests are request, you demand or expect then there is obviously something wrong with you, no-one likes to make things for arrogant people or people who arnt thankful, dont appreciate or are either lazy.

too many people at these forums EXPECT and DEMAND the community to always give them what they want or something back. Life is just like stated above so they/you/whoever has to always accept what happens good or bad.
