The effect gives too many unnecessary implications about its movement, shapes don't compliment each other much and the background should be detached from foreground so that the object appears to be in movement more. Would benefit from different, less usual perspective.
It looks good, materials are defined well, but the image appears bit too still.
The effect appears to be too plastic, the outlines around it make it look still and too linear for what it should represent. It could use some reshaping and less arbitrary shading. Background colors are nicely chosen.
Best icon from your icon set in my opinion, the color scheme could be rotated, but it looks very well.
You make awesome icons indeed. Idea simple, execution excellent.
Here goes an idea for a future icon inspired by this one. Have the hovering ghastly-sort-o-thing holding a gun (or a bow if the personage is an archer, for example) and taking aim. If you can mold that into something that can clearly be perceived, it would make another legendary icon!
