Wasn't Medivh's Tower based on doing philosophical or thoughtful debate rather than the common rabble of normal modern digital communication? It makes sense to me that technology today pushes us away from thoughtful discussions and away from clear thinking so society would probably not be capable of having a place like Medivh's Tower anymore, although I had not checked there for a while.
