It is recommended to install the latest 32-bit VC++ Runtimes regardless (plus the 64-bit ones where applicable)
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
One can use PatchMyPC to check the latest ones are installed
https://patchmypc.com/home-updater
(scroll down the left pane of the software)
It is also recommended to install the DirectX 9.0c runtime
https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=35
For some previous libraries, use abbodi1406's installer to install the older legacy x86 files AND ONLY THEM
https://github.com/abbodi1406/vcredist
To do so, run his tool with the /aiE switch, so it installs *only* its extra VB/C package files.
