The article says that the Guinness Book of World Records "retired the "Highest IQ" category in 1990 after concluding IQ tests were too unreliable to designate a single record holder".
Marilyn vos Savant was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records from 1986 to 1989 as having the highest IQ ever recorded. That is, 228, by taking in September 1956 an intelligence test which had been devised in 1937.
I am pointing out that IQ testing methods are revised over the years, so that 100 keeps being the median /average raw score (with a +15 / -15 deviation still being within the norms)
