That's a bit complicated, but take your time. I think a buff which marks all base defenses owned by player down, and every base defense and stuff with the buff will be disabled. I think it can work without us having to create "disabled" versions for each defense and no need to replace units all the time

Once again, thanks for your help

I found that "Pause Unit" would do the job (though a risk with some unknown side effects it has, but easiest way and shouldn't be very bad here at least). This eliminates all the "disable" version necessity.
Though I hope you don't mind with the attack damage in command card not disappearing from screen :p

The system works with all the disables it need for now. It even stops training halfway :p but can't cancel them sadly :(

If you want some visual for disabled defence, sure.

Never mind, in original Red Alert 2, you can command disabled defenses (the cursors) but they don't do anything... Ah, yes, visual will be better. Uhh, is there an alternative instead of straight away stopping production? Slowing, perhaps?

P.S. if you are doing mind control, make it so that stuns will dispel mind control, no matter the "master" or the "victim"

Slowing production would make it far more complicated. At the very least it needs another existing system to operate.
Daffa
Daffa
Dispels? By dispel you mean stop all mind controlled unit permanently till recontrolled?
Cherrymage

Dispel I mean, cancel the mind control.

Well, slowing production seems a lot of work, but I believe Fingolfin has a system about constructing buildings-- doesn't seem to work on power system. Never mind, just give it a try and see if it's possible?

Seems I mistaken the system I thought would do the job. Anyway, a dirty quick one would be using pause for a second and continue and pause again suddenly, which of course not pleasing to look at.

Why pause again and again? Is it coz of the animations?
Daffa
Daffa
One cannot manipulate time of unit in training, because there's no native to modify them directly.

So... what to do then? Keep the production speed but make the units come out with reduced hp and mana?
Daffa

Could go with that alternative if you desire.
