King Gorba's Backstory

Gorba (originally) was supposed to be a Gnoll and Kobold hybrid.

He was the result of an unfortunate breeding experiment conducted by an Ogre magi who lives in seclusion, somewhere within the eastern barrier mountains.

The Ogre Magi was testing and toying with various cruel magics and concoctions. Breeding unfathomable, suffering abominations out of whatever creatures he would happen to capture or enslave. All he did with his creations was torturing, further cross-breeding or even cannibalizing them for the sake of his own entertainment.

Gorba was one of these unfortunate souls to be born as Gnoll, from the womb of a Kobold.
Unlike most, Gorba did not have any major dysfunctional organs nor malformed limbs and was actually growing up faster than any Gnoll or Kobold respectively ever could.

Normally a near perfect outcome of cross-breeding such vastly different creatures wouldn't be possible, but turns out that cruel Ogre magi wasn't too precise with the brewing of his concoctions, nor the use of his crude magics.

Despite this, Gorba wasn't spared from the tyrannical torture and experiments from the Ogre who created him.
In fact, because he was such a perfect specimen, the Ogre purposefully snapped his limbs annually and kept him at near starvation to make sure Gorba couldn't run away and escape.

But Gorba was different. Able to mend, able to withstand the immense pain and able to persist through whatever potion he was fed or what magics were flung at him, making him the Ogre's favorite test subject.

On one unfortunate day for the Ogre Magi, Gorba was forcefully fed yet another hastily made concoction... Just like any other, he made a futile attempt to not swallow the liquid, but was forced to anyway. However, this particular potion seemed to make Gorba's limbs better and improve his shape and body.

Shocked by this revelation, the Ogre Magi quickly reached out for a knife and split Gorba's stomach so the remainder of the potion could ooze out, but it was too late... The effect had already taken place and Gorba broke out from his holding pen and viciously mauled the Ogre.

The Ogre wasn't done fighting just yet, though. The cauldron from which Gorba was fed the sample that made him energized and mended, the Ogre took and swallowed a big scoop of the liquid, undoing his wounds and causing his overweight body to grow stronger and muscular.
While the Ogre was drinking, Gorba picked up the dagger, still covered in his own blood, he slit open the stomach of the Ogre vigorously, causing its overfull contents to spill out on the ground.

While Gorba's stomach was empty and the potion was able to work immediately, the Ogre's stomach was full of various meats, fruits and half-digested parts of cannibalized, failed experiments he annually consumed for pleasure... Causing the potion's effect to not kick in as fast.

Without hesitation, Gorba proceeded with the knife and crudely, slowly and aggressively decapitated the Ogre.

He then peered at the various suffering creatures around him. Those who could be saved were fed the fluid from the cauldron and released.
However, those who were beyond saving were put out of their misery... And eaten by the strong.
