In the desolate expanse of Northrend's icy wastes, the Ice Trolls have long endured the unforgiving cold, their very existence a testament to their tenacity and adaptability. The recent rising of Undead Scourge had forced the Trolls to sacrifice their once revered Loa in order to leach their power for themselves. Yet, fueled by stolen power and fueled by an unyielding determination to reclaim their homeland, the Ice Trolls stand defiant, their chilling abilities honed to perfection as they clash with their adversaries, fighting tooth and nail to preserve what remains of their once-glorious civilization.
Desecrated Loa
As the Undead Scourge swept across Northrend, the Ice Trolls were met with one defeat after the other. In an act of desperation, they turned on their Loas and enslaved them, using them as fuel for their profane magics. Directly in control of Stolen Power, their Sacrificial Huts can greatly empower a unit to deal additional damage but at the cost of lowering their maximum hit points. Some specialized abilities function in concert with units imbued with Stolen Power.
Dissenters
Dissenters are powerful warriors who are trained from Strongholds. These warriors are capable of base defense in the early game through the aid of Stolen Power. However; only a set amount can be trained. The more Sacrificial Huts the player has the more Dissenters may be trained.
Training Charges
The Ice Trolls utilize a different method of training. Instead of traditionally waiting for a unit to be trained, each of the military production structures comes with Training Charges that stack up over time. Each stack allows one unit from the respective structure to be trained instantly. Each structure holds up to 3 charges and an effect is shown when the structure has full stacks.
Frost Slow
Cold-based abilities and attacks are a staple for the Ice Trolls. Most of the faction has some sort of way to utilize the cold to Frost Slow the enemy. Many warriors are able to inflicted a variant of Frost Slow then have themselves or other warriors capitalize on the enemies’ weaken state.
