| The Undead Nerubians are a chilling fusion of two formidable forces: the ancient, subterranean Nerubians and the necromantic powers of the Scourge. These undead arachnids now stalk the shadows with an eerie, unholy presence. Their chitinous exoskeletons, now tinged with decay, exude an aura of dread as they skitter through their desolate underground lairs. With venomous attacks and necrotic powers, they strike fear into the hearts of any who dare to intrude. |
| Blighted Empowerment | The Undead Nerubians are best suited when fighting upon blight. Many combat units come with a bonus effect that is only active while on blight. They also hold many abilities that can assist in spreading blight for greater dominance. | |
| Fanes | Fanes act as an essential structure. These structures provide a map-wide healing effect to the player's combat forces and increases the effectiveness of many abilities. Each Fane provides a small bonus that maxes out at ten Fanes per player. When the player has at least 5 Fanes, the Apostates gain additional lumber capacity. | |
| Undead Beckon | As a form of utility and initial defense the Catacombs have an ability to restore hit points to a single friendly target. If cast upon the player's Apostates it gains powerful offensive capabilities and instantly restores full hit points. | |
| Corrupted Gold Mine | To obtain gold the Undead Nerubians must first corrupt a vacant Goldmine with their Apostates. Corrupted Goldmines then automatically collect gold every few seconds. They do not require workers to function but have a food cost. Each Fane increases rate of harvest. |
