The Blood Elves' enduring fascination with various forms of magic extends to the mysterious realm of void magic. Originally led by the exiled Magistrate Umbric, the Void Elves faced trials and hardships until rescued by Alleria Windrunner, who transformed them into a formidable force for the Alliance. With a deep connection to the forbidden void arts, they harness these powers against evil forces, balancing on the edge between corruption and their commitment to righteousness.
Edge of the Void
The units of the Void Elves tread the delicate balance between pain and power. Typically, possessing ample mana confers a bonus to their effectiveness; however, as time elapses, their mana gradually diminishes. Once it reaches its lowest threshold, they experience a reduction in armor, underscoring the precarious nature of their equilibrium between power and vulnerability.
Mana Influence
The Void Elves place significant emphasis on their mana reserves, considering it a cornerstone of their strategic prowess. To bolster their mana capacity, they have access to Lesser Heritage upgrades, augmenting the maximum mana of their forces. Additionally, creatures such as the Void Host contribute to mana restoration efforts, while Archons enchant units with mana-stealing capabilities, further enhancing their mana management capabilities and combat effectiveness.
Aerial Offensive
A mysterious airborne entity has aligned itself with the Void Elves: the Astral Gale. This remarkable creature possesses the capacity to accommodate three distinct units, contributing to the formation of a diverse and expansive aerial force when combined with other flying creatures. Within these ranks of Astral Gales, formidable Void Hosts soar, wielding their might to decimate adversaries and provide crucial support to the Void Elves.
Teleportation
The Void Elves have attained proficiency in the manipulation of rift magic, enabling them to master the art of teleportation. Through the summoning of Gateways, they establish interconnected portals capable of facilitating instantaneous unit transportation across the battlefield.
Scions
Scions, integral beings within the Void Elves' ranks, fulfill diverse roles critical to their operations. Chief among these functions is resource gathering, with Scions deployed to harvest gold from Controlled Goldmines. Furthermore, Scions possess the ability to create Anomalies, serving as both builders and wood harvesters. Additionally, Scions serve as the primary food source, increasing the food cap. In combat, Scions use Anomalies to bolster their capabilities. Lastly, they serve as a mana source, capable of transferring their mana to friendly units.
