the ui looks very nice, and to make it ''widescreen'' compatible? such skill. 9/10 I think you could add some more troll related stuff, so the masks and spears/charms in the center don't look so isolated, by creating new ones for the out side corners or perhaps adding some ''finger paint'' ''paintings'' along the stone so it doesnt look like a copy paste of the old one, but those monsters on the wide screen panels look well done too so ya pretty cool man -- one of the best ui's i've ever seen.
I've worked with this base ui you're using, I know how limited you where with your start so im even more impressed perhaps then most.
as far as terraining is concerned, looks good too.
Thanks. Wide-screen compatibility was fairly easy to do by following the patterns set out in viiva's take on the UI. I did have to fix some blurry texture issues towards the right-hand corner though, so that was a bit time consuming. Moreover, redoing the menu, border and cinematic UI took some time too. All in all a solid two days' worth of work.
Thanks for the feedback regarding the troll doodads. Originally the middle mask was set to be bigger, but alpha channel limitations caused me to shrink it. The finger paint idea is actually really neat, I will definitely look into it.
