I think you are underestimating the size of the Thousand Needles. The distance between the pillars are even smaller than in World of Warcraft, where things are already way too small. Aside from that, the terrain looks really good.

Yes, after it got destroyed and completely flooded by Deathwing's Cataclysm, it did became popular.
Actually, these cliffs look kinda nice here... Barrens cliffs must be the best Blizzard cliffs...
