"Nazis vs. Silithids"

One of the largest factions I am working on is the insectoid race.

It's not Nazis, really, they are The Reich, they just look like Nazis but not Nazis. However, could they survive the swarm with just their basic gun and tank techs? Only a crapload of war will tell who stands victorious!
@deepstrasz
Oh, Warhammer sound unappealing to some and appealing to some. Some want the straight edge epic fantasy or straight science fiction (half life, halo, star wars, sys. shock, etc...) Blood Rayne is really really bad, I agree, and its movie adaptation is really worse.

So do you have any ideas how do I improve the science fantasy thing I'm working on? Like shelving some factions away? Or a good lore trick? Or anything?

Anyways, I shelved zergs and protoss models and stuff. Also abolished the usage of anime, spongebob, and some stuff like that ruins the lore. :) Well I really have a plan for this nazi like humans heeheh

@deepstrasz
I usually drew them out of inspiration from the film Sucker Punch, the game Clive Barker's Jericho (had world war two enemies but you use guns and powers like blood magic), and another film Cowboy vs. Aliens. :)

@deepstrasz
If I say that the world war 2 guys there are time-travellers like anomalies from the future humans. And the silithid guys there are unbound and former servants of Seethun, will it become appealing or suffice the lore? :)

@deepstrasz
I watched film Ender's Game and it sucked. It sucks. Am I correct? But I'm not into story books and comics except if it is Tolkien, Lovecraft, or Marvel.

Stsrship Troopers, I'll see about that if it can be extracted inspiration.

@deepstrasz
I usually don't see any reason why to they practice in a ship with fake VR like console fighting off stuff. The movie did really grossed millions in theaters even it is gross that the story revolved in kids fighting fake alien ships and creatures. This is like Divergent series, too much sci-fi and space sci-fi.

You should try watching Sucker Punch if you see a taste of a real science fantasy :)
