hmmm. shoulders hey. breaking you say, perhaps some shoulder pads from one of the human units meshs could help. another good way to fix shoulders somtimes is to open the mesh up by un coupling vertexes adding new ones via copy paste and then rebuild/re uvwrap the mesh as desired. if the model keeps breaking during saves, try saving for every change made, if a model is crashing your editor alot chances are it might crash the game in game alot, even if its not crashing in the editor document its self, a good way to be sure is to open the model in the model viewer map by gekigengar and test every animation in game to be sure your models not crashing that test map.
perhaps redoing your bone attachments for the vertexes will fix it up enough to call it complete, if it doesnt, then the best way to fix them is adding more vertexes.
