Blizzard's RTS games including wc3 are more alive than HotS. So if they made wc4 instead of HotS then it could have helped them a lot.

@Hazop not about being cool. It's about how half assed reforged release was. I don't want them to release something like that again.

@Hazop I am showing Blizzard's management how dumb they are. Honestly, they spent 5 years to make HotS...Could have used this time to make wc4 and get more money. They cant even use the excuse to maximise profit/appease shareholders here. I am not doing this to get attention.

@Paillan It took them a very long time to make HotS. I don't know why.
The good thing is I can make a theory using a quote of Dustin Browder (HotS game director) from IGN:
"I’ve certainly heard it [Warcraft IV] mentioned around the office many, many times. No one’s coding today, though. I don’t want to overpromise and say it’s imminent – it’s not imminent. But it’s something we definitely want to do."
Theory: Devs wanted HotS to be a map of Warcraft IV just like the relation of DotA 1 and Warcraft 3 as they knew HotS won't do good as a standalone game due to the competition against LoL and Dota 2. The devs tried their best to persuade the suits, by delaying the development as much as they could, but they failed.
