Well, it looks very messy. Like you just fooled around with a burn tool and etc. The shadings is a bit soft as well, the roundness won't show up when resized i think. Harder shading and more highlights, it doesn't even look like it exists a light source on this image. The glow could need a lot of improvement as well, First of all it is almost the exact same color as the liquid, and it looks quite dull. You can look at anachrons tutorial on glows (just visit his albums, it is somewhere there) as well as look at my visitor messages, the message by berzerker explains how he creates his glows. i've learned a lot from those two. And study different potion icons, both blizzards and Hive users.
