Oh I can't edit my previous comment.

I understand your distaste with posting this with my phone, but compared to using OBS on my potato box it's at the very least clearer.

No no, you're correct, ive been using OBS To record, but suddenly its just gotten bad and I don't know why, to which I tried using my phone as it takes a fraction of the time and effort for minimal quality drop.

Maybe newer versions slow down on your OS and PC. Try an older one or something. Otherwise, maybe something might be wrong with your hardware or OS.
