These doodads appear completely white on some computers for some reason. One reason could be that there are specific computer system requirements to make these doodads work properly. The other possible reason is that newer patch versions don't support the formats of these doodads anymore and the doodads can only be shown properly on older patch versions until 1.29. But i will keep these doodads in my map in any case.
hmmm, try opening the model, the texture, and re-save both, re import one at a time and see if that changes any thing, I too, saw one of my own hydras, the spectral one, appear similar to this description, I do not know why, but quickly re-saving specifically the model did fix it. Hope you resolve the issue.
these doodads look nice, did you make them zordrak?
edit: re-open, in MAGOS with one copy, and re-open, in MDLVIS EDITOR, with the other, re-open the texture and save in you're skin program, what ever it is, re-save it - re-import it (the skin) into the map then the model (in that order) re-save and close the map re-open, and if its still glitchen out then maybe il take a look at one...for ya
@kellym0 I got these models from wc3-maps.ru, the map Human Error, Chaosrealm and wc3Underground. So you mean i shall open two copies of an affected texture in MAGOS and MDLVIS EDITOR and then i shall save the copies in these skin programs? And then i shall re-import each copy into the map (to test both copies) and the model? Do the doodads appear properly for you when you open the map (they are in the north east corner)?
I never tested the map so I don't know, as far as the fix to your custom models, im not sure I know that trick will work for you with them, no, but I do know that my spectral hydras teeth and fins and eye beams all appeared un textured and white, which sounded similar to your issue, I fixed it by opening it in magos and saving it in magos, opening that same one in mdlvis editor, and found it was working again. but I did get one that was still glitched out, so I tried the same trick twice.
so I mean if you really need them then there are tricks to fix them, I cannot be certain It will work, but it may be worth your time giving it a try.
