An ingame test of ''Attachers'' used in a custom model derived from the zerg viper, these Attachment Refs, are used in an odd and counter intuitive way. Mesh is attached to bones, which them selves (the bones) are attached to attachment points, the attachment points them selves are attached only to the primary root or origin bone, and given special names, such as ''Ref_Attacher'' ''Ref_Attacher 01'' ''Ref_Attacher 02'' ect ect to compile a longer list of attachments. In this example, I am only using 2, but the zerg viper uses 8 said bones and attachment refs. Using the site operations known as the ''snake'' segments, found in the zerg vipers data fields under ''Hosting: Host Site Operations +'' and ''Hosting: Hosted Attachments +'' data fields, via ''segment actors'' named ''seg0'' ''seg1'' ''seg2'' ect ect to create the illusion of a snakes tail swishing about, or alternatively in this example a free swinging trailer. Useful for Snake models, Centipede models, Train models, and any other segmented elongated unit you may wish to create.
Credits to alley viper and the sc2mapster community for assistance on this one.
