a question if you will -- I've seen the square selection circles before, the one I downloaded long ago years past how ever had a glitchy pair of 2 pixels, which made larger selection squares specifically around the scale of 5+ have little dots on the top left and top right corners, like little ears, but you could actually see them there at any size, once seen its just un-see-able, I ended up exporting it, and deleting 2 pixels, and then I deleted large chunks of the centers of the lines of the square, to make it just 4 green arrows on the corners. I notice your selection squares don't have the special dots on the corners. im just curious as to if you changed it or if it was eventually updated.
im very curious now.
back on topic -- your terrain looks nice -- a bit blocky? though? maybe you should play with the red pebble tile on this one a bit more
@kellym0
I actually made the square selection myself by making a simple square in a layer atop an exported image of the regular selection circle, deleting the circle, and saving the image to a tga file, which I then converted into a blp for maximum compression. It's surprisingly easy.
Anyway, the blocky pebble tiles are actually the roads, which can be placed by the player. It's a recreation of the original Warcraft game after all. I even uploaded the map.
Also, the way you wrote that first part about that selection squares made me read it in a random over-the-top fancy nerdy rich guy voice. Cracked me up a bit.
