First - And there's the Next Worker.

Exists: Golem Worker.Golem Worker?
Exists: Golem Worker.
Change the unit's "Art - Tinting Colors" values to the ones of the normal Mud Golem in the Object Editor in World Editor. Mud Golem is just a recoloured version of Rock Golem.Mud Golem version would be much more better.

The only problem would be that then even the gold sack and lumber would change colour. I can send you a recolour of this Rock Golem Worker model using geoset animations, but I can't post it anywhere since it isn't my model.Yup.You're probably right.I'm just lazy,but thanks anyway.Maybe one day we'll see Golem Custom race.

I guess I can post it here in the comments, if someone else needs too, and the author hasn't been online for ages. Here it is in the attachment, two versions: one fully mud, and the other one has mud body and rock head and spikes.The only editing i do is for my own fun.Go ahead,send it! I most likely will never post it anywhere.
Nerubian exists, here it is: Nerubian Worker. And Spider exists too: SpiderBlack.I like your worker units, as you already stated, more different kinds of workers can give so much potential.
About suggesting more worker types... I haven't seen a spider or nerubian one yet. Couldn't find one after searching either.
Might that be something for ya?
Nerubian might be more useful since you can use it for both living and undead by replacing the texture.
Yeah.... No offense to Matis, but a lot of his Nerubian models suffer from really jankety, jerky animations. Even if you literally yoinked one of the creep Nerubians from the MPQs & worked your "gold/lumber" magic (no web-carrying, no mesh/texture changes for diversity, no other mods), that would be better.Alok said:Nerubian exists, here it is: Nerubian Worker.
Tell me on which model you want to base it on. Then I have to ask the model creator for a permission to edit it, if he has been online in the last six months, since there are no Samurai or Japanese models in Warcraft 3 base game.A Samurai Worker Or Japanese Worker?
I'll try to make workers more servile, I just need to come up with some ideas which accoutrements to befit them. Would be nice if there were any model parts from any of the models in Warcraft 3 that I could recycle and edit to add them to the models, like some tools, items, clothes, etc. befitting a worker.I thought this was becoming a thing... I cannot Rep you enough, man. This is a singularly-excellent way to spend your time; enabling countless modders to make pretty much whatever race imaginable. Workers are truly one of the simplest but most essential parts of any race.
That being said, I will continue to encourage you to 'take things up a notch' and/or 'get imaginative'; I mean it'd be "fine" if Ghouls carried gold, or the Human Footman was reworked to carry lumber & such... But how much more interesting/impressive is it when a faction's worker actually looks like a worker (scrawny, weak, servile, menial, simple, etc), rather than looking just like all the other warriors/mages/etc? Even moreso when it's a unique, but appropriate alternative (i.e. Wisps for the Night Elves, rather than "generic Night Elf laborers").
For this guy, I'd suggest slimming him down (less bulky), shorten his claws & cut off his horns, make his face a little more 'dopey' (less "crazed wild beast" eyes), and perhaps give him some rags or something to wear. Would go a long way for this one.
~~~
Anyway, keep on keeping on! Looking forward to more!
(or, in line with my earlier suggestion of "unique but appropriate alternatives"... I've always planned out a Nerubian race that was dependent on massive carved stone Golems that crafted all their great architecture. I mean, why would we think those spindly-legged crawling creep-zoids have any ability to carry/shape heavy stone?? Nonsense. But a giant (spider?) Golem, with rock-crafting hands & resource pouches... Now *that's* an idea. ;D)
I had in plan to create a skeleton worker, I guess I can fit him the hat from Proudmoore.Oh my, a worker modeller. As many of the other comments stated already workers are the most underrated model, so props to you! (Not all heroes wear capes )
P.S. Skeleton pirate worker?
Edit: Oops, I interchanged the names of the Golem Worker model files. Fixed.
They're too prideful for this. They would rather die
Here it is: Annihilan Worker.Annihilan (Pit Lord) Worker?
Thanks so much! No problem, you could have taken as long as you wanted! It looks awesome. Thanks again!Here it is: Annihilan Worker.
Sorry for the delay, had problems with the animations and team colour, so I left it "in the fridge" for some time.
I am not into modding currently. I may fix the old stuff, but I'm not in the mood for making anything new, sorry.I want Owlbear worker, please.
Fixed.Moderation:
I was a bit too fast on the trigger there. It is almost approvable, but it lacks footprints when returning resources. Fix that and it should be in a state that can be approved.
Fixed. Thanks for reporting.Hey, I tried an updatred model it is invisible.....
