Day 1

Opening Ceremony:

The next World of WarCraft expansion has been confirmed to be Warlords of Dreanor that is probably going to be about the war between the Draenei and the orcs and the first war. At the opening Chris Metzen said to the alliance that the first war when the alliance races dwarves, gnomes and humans united under one banner and since to few had been there and experienced WarCraft: Orcs and Humans they planned to bring it back in the next expansion Warlords of Draenor.

Other words of notice is that in the video shown at BlizzCon it was said that the new level cap would be 100, that there would be upgradeble Garrisons. I will upload the video as soon as possible. Characters that were mentioned by Metzen was Gul'Dan, Ner'Zhul, Blackhand and Sargeras so I would expect these to carry great weight in the next expansion. All WoW character skins will also be redone. Also if you buy the new expansion set you will be allowed to boost one character of your choise to level 90.

Chris Metzen also said that the plot story of the WarCraft Movie was not going to be unclear after tomorow. Metzen Also says that he does not want Thrall to be the racial leader of the orcs but that the mantle will probably fall on Saurfang or possibly Eitrigg but who it's going to be has not been decided. He also says that the Emerald Dream is a good place for raiding content but he does not want to use it as the foundation of a new expansion.

World of WarCraft: What's Next?

Alright so now I got an f-load of information to put on you guys.

The story I that has been revealed so far is basiclly that Garrosh has been put in prison to answer for his crimes but before his trials can take place he's teleported out of danger by a time travelling friend Kairoz. Garrosh is disgusted by the current Horde and he wants to make the Horde into his image of the perfect Horde so he is taken back in time to stop the orcs from becoming corrupted so he is taken back to the time just before the orc chieftains accepts the blood of Mannoroth and he in turn creates the Iron Horde with goblin engineering from the present as we know it to create a unstoppable force, but he still is planning on opening the Dark Portal. The expansion is mainly going to take place in old Draenor and both factions have their own capital the Alliance have Karabor which is in Shadowmoon Valley and the holy draenei temple many today knows as the Black Temple, the Horde on the other side has Bladespire Citadel as their capital and are helping the Frostwolf Clan in their struggles. There is also the city of Talador which is the capital of the Arakkoa before they were corrupted. At this point in time there really are no dominant power although the strongest empire at the time is the Ogre Empire which at this point is at the height of their power just before they're taken down in the timeline as we know it today. There is also the large island of Feralon which today is know as Netherstorm this is a zone that will not be active during launch but is going to play a large role later on. There's also going to be a lot of interraction Between Thrall and Durotan and his other family members and even some we don't know today as hinted by Chris Metzen.

There are is a large veriaty of orc clanns first of all we ofcourse have the Frostwolf Clan as the Horde is going to see a lot. We also have the Shattered hand clan which is led by Kargath who brought his people to freedom by braking free from their Ogre slavers. After this many orcs of the Shatter Hand Clan decided to cut of their own hand to replace it with a metal blade. The Bleeding Hollow Clan is a shamanistic clan and their members carve out one of their eyes to see ffutures of their own deaths. The Blackrock Clan is also a large clan at this point of time, it's lead by Blackhand and is considered to be the backbone of the Iron Horde, Blackhand at this point is a very honest and honoreble orc and the Blackrock Clan is mostly built up of smiths. The Shadowmoon Clan is another Clan that at this point is lead by Ner'Zhul and this a very shamanistic tribe that also happens to live in the same lands as the Draeneis so much tension can be expected there. The Warsong Clan is another probably one of the most well known clans that is lead by Grommash Hellscream that lives in Nagrand at this point and it's hinted by Chris that this clan is not going to be heroes in this expansion.

We will see a few returning and also new creatures in this expansion such as the Gronn who at this point mostly are servants of the Iron Horde. We got the Ogres which are told to be a lot bigger and stronger than the ogres we know today whom at this point also has the largest empire on Draenor. The Saberon is a new feline sapien race that can be found all over Draenor, why they went extinct is unknown. We got the dragonfly which mostly will serve as mounts and the Chimera which nothing is known about other than its appearence.

We will also see new Zones, those are, Gorgrond that is a region filled by steam vents and is the native home of the Blackrock Clan. Talador which is today more known as the zone of Terokkar Forest and much as the name suggest it's a forest where the funeral sight of the Draenei can be found. Next patch will feature an event where we realise that something is wrong so we are sent on a suicide mission into the Dark Portal where the Horde finds the zone Frostfire Ridge which is a snowy fields covered with giant rocks and volcanic activities and you as a Horde character go there to stop the Frostwold Clan from joining the Iron Horde and your mission is to recapture Frostfire Fortress. The Alliance on the other hand goes to Shadowmoon Valley and try to help the Draenei protect and save Karabor which once again is the holy temple now known as the Black Temple and they ofcourse receive alot of problem from the Shadowmoon Clan which is lead by Ner'Zhul. Shadowmoon Valey is in this period not the descolate hell hole that we know today but rather a forest where there's always night.

There will also be new character models and so far we've seen the new Dwarf, Orc and Gnome models. We get to see them with much more advanced emotes and we get to see teeth and tounges and hair that sways appropriatly with the actions.

Blizzard also announced that they would feature the ability to build a base on Draenor known as Garissons, these Garrisons will work as the housing system of WoW, or atleast that's what Blizzard says. Other players will be allowed to be invited in to your houses and you can even trade recources with each others. You will be allowed to collect followers and send them on missions for you and they will have offline progress so if you logg out they will keep doing your dirty work, you will be allowed to build your Garrison at many zones depending on where you'd like to have it and it will be intergrated to the world so it wount be any loading screens and it wount be in any distant zone far far awey. So what can you get from the housing system? What anyone would want, epic loot. And to actually get there you need to gear up your companions by sending them out on objectives like quests or scenarious, you will also need to level up all of your companions from 90 to 100. You will also be allowed to acces limited proffesion advantages from proffesion you have not learned you can for example build a mine in your garrison and send one of your companions to mine for resources. Building will also offer unique benefits that may affect you only inside the garrison or in the outside world, one example that was given on outside was being allowed to ressurect a friend x times a day. Every individual building will have three tiers and you will be allowed to rank them up and once you reach rank three with them you will be allowed to choose a unique way that this building will affect you and your garrison. You will also have a lot of interactions with your compansions it was discussed wheter or not they would work as reputations but nothing is set in stone. You will also be given trophies and Monuments that can be obtained through eiter Achievements or killing rare mobs throughout Draenor. You can also decide where you want to place a building in your garrison so your garrison is as modified to your liking as possible. There will also be separate appearences between the Horde and Alliance garrisons so yours will never look the same as that of the opposing faction. You can also change the name of your companions so if you'd like your companion could be called Sir Scratch and Sniff, the companions will also all have different abilities and traits to match up the situation you'd need them in. By unlocking sertain building you can also unlock special missions such as rescue missions.

One of the buildings that were brought up as an example was the inn that would supply you with cooking aid and would allow you to pick out companions to your liking, maybe healers, tanks or dps's.

Inventory updates is also something Blizzard will be betting big in the next expansion for starters they will give account wide acces to heirlooms so you don't need to worry which character has what, once you've bought a heirloom everyone can acces it, possibly this will also be included for tabards. Blizzard also fealt that creating larger bages did not really help anyone when it came to sorting the bags so they will do that for you by sorting by allowing you to simply tell the game that you want gear in bag a, consumebles in bag b and newly obtained items in bag c. And guess what, quest items will no longer take up bag space. You will also be able to select favorite mounts pets and other account wide items so you will be given the opertunity to summon a random favorite mount. You will also be able to craft with materials you have in the banks and stack sizes for most crafting materials will also be increased.

Blizzard will also introduce a new system called the Adventure Guide that will help players and give suggestion of what to do wthat is speciallised to their roll, class and proffesion(s).

For PvE we have 7 new dungeons 4 which are used for leveling and 3 which is for max leveled characters, Blizzard will also be reintroducing the old concept of heroic dungeons making them alot harder than those of MoP and WotLK. With all this about Draenor and the orcs Blizzard also though it would be perfect to introduce remade Blackrock Spire, other dungeons will be included such as Bloodmaul Slag Mines, Blackrock Foundry, Auchidoun, Arakkoa Spires, Shadowmoon Burial Grounds and Iron Barracks. There will also be two raids, Highmaul which wil be an Ogre raid with 6 bosses and Blackrock Foundry which is an orc raid with 10 bosses. The next expansion will also include new world bosses, adaptation of Flexible into RF, Normal, Heroic and the new super hard difficulty Mythic.

For PvP we have a new world PvP zone, Ashran which will be located in the sea to the east of the Dark Portal which wont serve as a resemblance to Wintergrasp but rather old AV, battles that seemed to have almost no end, they will also use cross realm servers to bring balance to the Horde - Alliance unbalence in population. You will also in this BG be able to build and upgrade a vechile that you might spend two days building to bring chaos upon your enemies. There will also be UI improvements so you now can see for example the capture timer on bases in Arathi Basin. Also one thing that will be introduced is BG score something that has been requested for a long time so that players can see their score compared to others, in this score everything is supposed to be calculated into the final score. BG rewards is also something that will be included so you have the chance of winning honour, gear or something else at the end of the BG if you're lucky and weekly quests will also be included so you may upgrade pvp gear do you have the desire too. Then we also have the Trial of the Gladiator which is a new kind of arena ladder where you are immediatly rewarded all the gear you could want and are pited against other players where only skill matters.

Q & A:

Q: What about the 70 pages story about Keal'Thas that you talked about in 2011 will we see it?
A: It will be pulished soon.

Q: How will our actions in the past affect the present?
A: It will not since Garrosh is assaulting drom an alternetive timeline and this has no impact on what has already happened in the past.

Q: Will we see Alleria and Turalyion.
A: We have plans for them but for now they are still out there somewhere we don't know.

Q: Red shirt guy asks, considering the fact that all the southern regions are either dessert or jungle is it possible that we might not be at the southern part of Azeroth but rather on it's ecvator?
A: It's a possibility.

Q: Uther finds a tome in Deadmines that hints at Paladins that have been existed before the paladins where founded and it's also hinted in WarCraft: Orcs and humans what does this mean for the paladins?
A: No f-ing clue.

Q: How will the Garrosh lore turn out?
A: He will not be redeemed but it will give a more satisfying ending to the Garrosh fans.

Q: What will happen with Guld'dan and Medivh, will they still open the portal?
A: Gul'Dan still drinks the blood of Mannoroth so in that regard he's the outcast of the orcs.

Q: Seeing as Chris Metzen is sort of the father of Thrall will Chris voice the father of Thrall?
A: No, he has voiced to many characters already.

Q: Will we see Orgrim Doomhammer?
A: Yes.

Q: What did Ji and Aysa add to the MoP storyline?
A: Nothing, we really didn't have time to evolve their story in proper way.

Q: Is Cho'Gall going to be in the next expansion and in that case will he play an important role in either the Shadowmoon Clan or the Iron Horde?
A: He will play a large part as the servant of the Shadowmoon Clan and his part in the story will be large.

Q: How's Garrosh and Thrall going to react to meeting their family?
A: Garrosh and Thrall are both characters that never had the chanse to meet their parents so there will be a lot of story unfolding regarding them and their family.

Q: Will we explore more alternetive timeliness?
A: Yes.

Q: What's happening with the Dragonmaw?
A: At this point in time there where no actuall dragons on Draenor so the Dragonmaw Clan did not really exist at this point in time.

Q: Are we going to see Thrall grandmother?
A: Yes she's alive at this time and is still att the age where she could be considered his mother.

Q: How does Grommash look so young?
A: Good genes.

Q: How far back is this expansion taking place?
A: Garrosh arrives about two years before the orcs would originally accept the blood of Mannoroth.

Q: Are we going to see Sylvanas Windrunner?
A: Not any time soon.

Q: Will the blood elves be involved in the next expansion?
A: Yes, we're going to see a lot of the Blood elf paladins and the Naaru.

Q: What will we see of the shamans in the next expansion?
A: We will see a lot of their culture but we still want to keep them mystical however we will see events like when Drek'Thar goes blind.

Day 2:

Live Raid

Method being the worlds best 25 man Horde raiding team and Midwinter beeing the best on the Alliance side making this a very equal and scary live raid. But eventually Method brought home the kill winning the raiding cup for the Horde and for Europe.

Raiding, Gameplay, Questing and More:

Blizzard has announced that just like in MoP they now want to make a key storyline in questing that you want to follow but you'll also be able to do any optional quest at any time and you don't need to complete any main quest to unlock the optional quests. You'll also be given a larger veriaty on quests and more dynamic events like the ones we saw on the Timeless Isle with rare mobs, events, treasures and interactable minigames. They will also give you a chanse to loot rare and epic gear from quests if you're lucky that suits your level so that different players recieve different rewards. Another feature that is one to be most excited about is the updates they'll be making to quest helper, you'll now be able to see on the mini map where to find the quests of the key storylines so if you for example have aboned a quest and reenter the xone or enter a new zone you wount be depending on addons to help you out. As the endgame content we will also see long term storylines, hidden treasures all over the land to reward exploration and next to no dailies!

For raiding we've gotten new information about the raid Blackrock Foundry which is a 10 boss raid that has 3 wings so you can go to any wing you want and not have to deal with every single boss to get to the final boss which is going to be Warlord Blackhand, this raid will also be more like Blackrock mountain where you can look down and see the rest of the raid beneath you and be overwhelmed with awe the same way you were by Blackrock Mountain back in vanilla. They will also allow you to go RF, normal and heroic raids and have them scale just like flexible does today and your raid will recieve loot based how many players are in the group. You can go into them any where between 10-25 players and then you have Mythic which will only be for 20 players. Also probably the best news in a verry long time, each difficulty will have it's own lockout time again. You will also be able to kill any boss you want as many times as you want but you'll only be able to loot them once this way you can help out your friends. There will also be no Master Looter in RF but when you raid with people you know you're going to have someone take on that role so you can trade gear with others, Blizzard will also see to it that we have balanced based on players so there is no magical number in a flexible group so say for example it wount be so that if you have 14 players a debuff will stack on 2 players but with 15 it'll stack on 3 but instead it will have 80% chanse to stack on 3 players with 14 and it will always stack on 3 on a 15 player group. Also Blizzard will make sure that for all modes except for Mythic there will be a day one cross-server raiding activated.

For Garrisons we've also learned some new things, you will get some starting buildings like the Townhall where you go to send your companions on mission, the mine where you can send companions to gather material for you, the farm and the fish shack. You will also be granted proffession building for each individual proffesion so you can send your companions to gain level in those building so you don't need to level up every single proffesion on 5 different characters. There will also be other medium buildings such as the pet stables, Trading Post, Lumber Mills where you can level pets trade with other players and other usefull non garrison related activities. And then there will also be large buildings like the barracks, Stable and armory where the main goal is to collect companions. You will also be able to collect blueprints from rare drops, questlines, bosses and other sources that will allow you to upgrade your building and Blizzard will themselves provide you with information of how to get them and ofcourse there will be a fee to upgrade them or change specialization and it's unknown what they will cost but in the alpha we could see that it costed 10 000 gold to upgrade a barrack. There will also be different tiers to your Garrison and once you've all the building slots for your current tier you can upgrade your Garrison, there is also different sizes to the slots so you can't for example only have large buildings but you need select all different types of building. You can also send your followers on quests, scenarios, dungeons and raids the last taking up to a week for your companions to complete, you also need to send the appropriate amount of compansions on these missions so you need to send 10 for raiding, 3 for scenarios and 5 for dungeouns, but this is also important since all different companions have different traits one might have a trait called orcbane so he deals 25% extra damage to orcs so you need to be clever and not just send Randomus Maximus on a mission, another thing of importance is that your companions work in Azeroth will in no way effect yours so you can still go raids and dungeouns even if your campions also do it. You can also go down in your mine and see your orc that you've sent down to the mine and maybe help him out or just oggle him since you've got nothing better to do.

Blizzard has also taken up the fact that they want matchmaking such as LFR and LFG to remain in the game but they want it to be a last resort and make players seek out new and old friendships and play with other people. Therefor they have made out the plan for a feature called group finder where you can search into a dungeon or raid with a friend and for every premade member of your team that you have you get one stack of the buff called stacking the deck and what this will do is that it will increase the loot and experience you get from dungeons to further promote the idea of playing with friends.

So for leveling Blizzard has also listened to the comunity since they've heard a lot that leveling up doesn't give the same impact as it used to but Blizzard don't want to make so many 10 abilities for every spec when the player base already has more abilities than they can put out on their action bars so instead they decided to add passive bonuses to you every time you level up from 91-100 so as a mage you might get a passive bonus that increase your fire damage and as a death knight you might get extra armor. Other character changes they've made is that the stats Hit, Expertise, Dodge and Parry are all going to be completly removed from the game and instead Warriors might have a passive that gives them 20% chanse to parry an attack. There are also another things Blizzard has decided to remove from the game and that's Reforging, since they feel this was only an idea that looked good on paper. Enchants and Gems are going to be changed so that there are fewer of them that can be placed on your gear but they have higher impact they are going to try to work this out so it suits the market and one more thing is that socket bonuses is going to be completly removed. They will also change so that there's no Strength or Intellect armor but only plate, mail, leather and cloth so that the armor can be looted by all that can wield that armor type and will be modified to suit your spec(Jewelry, cloacks, trinkets and wepons does not work this way), you will also not need to get two different armors for two different specs. You will also be able to get item specific bonuses that can be different on the same items so for example one of your Deathbringers Will might give movement speed the other might give extra aoe damage. There will also be character Squishes so damage will be dealt in kilo so instead of saying 221 000 damage it says 221K damage.

WarCraft the Movie!!!!

There were verry little information on what the movie was going to be about for the most part they spoke about how they were trying to make everything like it was in WoW, the size of the trees, the appearence of the leaves and just make everything look like it does in WoW. They discussed the fact that Duncan Jones the director had played all the original WarCraft game and had leveled a character in WoW to level 90 and how some of the other cast memberss history with WarCraft.

What we did get to know about the WarCraft movie however was not dessapointing, Blizzard said that they wanted to make this about the Horde and the Alliance and show of two icons of both factions and allow us to see both sides of the story and that's something you often don't get to see in war films. So they choose to make the film about Anduin Lothar and Durotan since they both have the iconic ideals of their factions and they will both be put to the test, Blizzard said that in the end one of them is going to win but both will certainly have their victories in their own way, the final thing we were able to drag out from Chris Metzen was that this film was mainly going to take place in the Eastern Kingdoms and we were going to see many popular places from that continent.

Q&A:

Q: What's the use of garrisons, why did you decide to include them?
A: They don't have a gigantic use but you could certainly have use of it's ability to grant you gear and mats but mostly we added it just because it's a cool thing.

Q: Why not make flexible raid difficulties scale up to 40 man groups?
A: We're unsure of how much we can actually balance raiding if we do 10-40 man and it would also take much time that we could otherwise use on other content.

Q: How many people can be in your garrison at the same time?
A: A whole raid (40).

Q: Will we see the Garrison building and assignements of companions on the armory tablet for phones?
A: It's an interesting thought but it wount be happening any time soon.

Q: Will we see anything of Magni?
A: No but we deffinetly have some plans for the Council and Moira and the Dark Iron especially will play an important role in the next expansion.

Q: Who will be the final boss of the Warlords of Draenor expansion?
A: Grommash Hellscream!

Q: Will we see an Emerald Dream version on Draenor?
A: No the idea of the Emerald Dream is very isolated to Azeroth.

Q: There is a place in Duskwood called Beggars Hollow that has had alot of artwork around it is that location the pinpoint of anything special?
A: No we have no plans for that location.

Q: Will there be any big pet battle changes in the next expansion?
A: There will be the pet battle stables in the garrisons wich is planned to provide unique pet battle trainer encounters and new pets spread out across Draenor.

Q: Will there be more character costumization like face painting?
A: It's highly possible right now we're trying to figure what we should work on as our priority but it's highly possible we might come to see that maybe even soon.

Q: Will we see anything of Wrathion in the next expansion?
A: He will be in there but he wount be playing a role as huge as the one he did in MoP.

Q: How will I recruit player to my guild for mythic?
A: We are aware that this will cause short-term problems for guilds but in the long-term we think that everyone will benefit from these changes.

Q: Will we see more legendary quest lines or will have more old school legendarys?
A: We will try to mix it as best we can.

Q: Will we be able to enlist our characters as companions for the Garrison?
A: We had not considered it but since Garrisons are not account bound but character bound there is a strong possibility we could see that.

Q: Will we see the Pantheons in the upcoming expansion?
A: We will see what impact they had on Draenor but since they were on Draenor so much briefer than on Azeroth there will not be remotly as much story about them in WoD as there was in WotLK or MoP.

Q: When will we see gnome lore?
A: We have heard for so many years now "Where's our draenei lore?" and as soon as we give you it you ask where's the gnomes, you have to give us time and we'll try to work them in there, I can't promise that it'll be soon but it will come.

Q: How many healers wil there be in 20 man raids?
A: Considering that the general number for 25 man is 6 I'd guess it would be 5 most of the times but could maybe be one more or less depending on the difficulty of the fight.

Q: Will you add the exploration of Draenor into old content?
A: It's definettly something we want to do but every hour we put into old school content you lose one hour of your end game content so the question is if it's really worth it, it might come up but not any time soon.

Q: We can today change the colour of some of the mage spells with glyphs is it possible that we'll get more costumization?
A: It's possible.

Q: Will we still have bonus rolls in WoD?
A: Yes, we might change the way it works but it will still be there.

Q: Will we see pet battles moving onto mobile phones?
A: We're working on it currently.

Q: Will there be old content servers such as a 1.12, 2.4, 3.3.5, 4.3 servers?
A: No, you really think you want that but you really don't, you underestimate the power of nostalgia, you only remember the good things about the expansion and completly forget the bad ones.

Q: What're celestial dragons excactly?
A: I have absolutly no clue they were crafted by the titans maybe it had something with the dragons or proto-drakes to do but really we only added them because they looked really cool.

Q: If you'll remove reforging who will replace the vendor on the Grand Expedision Yakk?
A: We just thought of that recently and discussed that over lunch 2 hours ago but we have no clue yet.

Q: How can the Alliance have a lion as their banner when there is no lions in the Eastern Kingdoms?
A: -No answer was given to this question but it was dodged by the panel-

Q: Is the Horde banner based of the Naaru?
A: No clue.

Q: Will you create remakes of the original WarCraft games that will run on modern Operative Systems?
A: We would love to make that we all have great love for those game so we'll see.

Q: Will we see the dance studio I saw a screenshot of it in the Garrison system?
A: -This question was also dodged-

Q: Are Garrisons located on specific spots in a region or can we place it anywhere?
A: No it's on selected spots otherwise the player base would abuse it to much.

Q: How will the Dark Portal work now that the entrance to both Draenor and Outland is through that portal?
A: We're planning on making the entrance to Draenor through the Caverns of Time.

Q: Will the ability Eyes of the beast return?
A: Not anytime soon since we have deleted it from the system so remaking it would take time away from other cool abilities we want to see made, but we've had a large request of that ability from the hunter comunity so it's on our radar.

Q: The Horde has taken a very hard blow in the lore is it possible that we'll see this evened out?
A: I'll just say that after this expansion the Horde will come back stronger than ever before.

Q: Will we see world PvP returning to WoW?
A: We don't think it's possible for us to bring it back, World PvP I think will always remain a relic of the past.

Q: Will we see new hairstyles?
A: Yes and it's coming soon we're just trying to figure outh when to implement it.

Q: What's the limit of companion proffesions in the Garrison will they be able to craft epics?
A: We don't know yet we certainly don't want it to feel meaningless to train a proffesion so it'll still have individualism to it but we haven't discussed yet how much companions will be able to do so we'll see.

Q: Will you increase the Real ID friend cap?
A: We have no plans for it.

So if this expansion happen in the first war, the player will travel to the past ?

No this will take place in an alternative reality, we will still be in the present but Garrosh will be in another timeline so his actions does not affect the past only the present.

Yes and no zangarmarsh

That's an enthuisiasm I share.

I love it so far. This expansion has me excited. I love the theme and the fact that we'll revisit Nagrand and Shadowmoon Valley is awesome (my favorite zones in BC), even if they are vastly different.

I'm a bit ambivalent about the garrisons--and I probably will be until they have more details about it. But overall, gj Blizz.

The period after Blizzcon is always very, very strange though. I always lose all my will to play the current game and I eagerly anticipate the next xpac (same thing happened in Wrath-Cata, not so much in BC-Wrath because I was a bit less aware of updates and junk, and a little bit in Cata-MoP). And I half want to know what will come, and half don't want to spoil it for myself (I know, it sounds a bit weird, but I like unveiling it all as I level when the xpac is released).

Thanks for the info. Awesome post. :) Are you at Blizzcon or watching the live stream? (or just thoroughly researching?)

I myself am watching the livestream through my virtual ticket, I had loved to go there if it was not for the fact that I live in Europe so the flight ticket would have costed half a fortune.

Feels like more milking to me, nothing better to extend the story with than making up a non-canon alternate storyline.
Also, I cringed over the "new" character models. When I first saw the gnome I was confused what exactly they had actually improved until I saw how god awful the vanilla assets are.

Though I have to applaud the subtle shift in the art style (which is kinda going on with the older expansions especially the MoP) which finally looks nice.
It slowly goes from "meh" lazy ugly outdated design into a nice, deliberately cartooney thing with actual personality.
It shows artistry, something that couldn't really be said about the expansions prior to Mists.

Though one has to wonder why on earth they show assets that clearly aren't finished yet in the promotional screenshots.
Those palms clearly don't have a texture yet, unless of course solid vomit-brown and green colors are considered a texture work nowadays.

Probably because they want to come to BlizzCon and totally own the stage since that's what the player base is expecting.

I love it.

The theme is exelent, this could bring the good old tbc feeling back. This might actually save the huge player loss is used correctly (I think).
I am also very pumped about the garrison system.
I am also so exited about seeing new lore characters like Grom Hellscream ingame.

Well I would hardly call Grommash Hellscream a new character but yes it will be interesting to see all of the warlords who except for Grom, Ner'Zhul and Blackhand are very unheard of, we've seen a little of Bladefist as he did make his appearence as a 5 man boss in TBC but both Kargath and Kilrogg are relativly untoched by the story ofcourse Kilrogg has also made his appearences such as in Rise of the Horde.

From past experiences we'll probably be in 5.4 still for around 8-10 months.

I, in all honesty think the story sucks. I mean seriously, this is the best they could come up with. I detect a major screw over coming up soon.

This is basiclly what everyone has said for every expansion after WotLK and Blizzard has keept on rolling anyhow, as long as they give a satisfying answer to what the Zandalari and the Naga are doing that is more important than the Zandalari saving their race and the Naga taking controll of Azeroth under the Old Gods I will be happy. After all Blizzard said that they already know the main plot line of the expansion after WoD and have almost come to an agreement on the one after that.

He is not new lore wise BUT, he is not seen in WoW that's why I said new. Also since it's an alternative reality the lore here is changed so he will likely be "newish"

Yeah now we'll see them all before they drank Mannoroths blood and we'll see the Shadowmoon Clan while they were still shamans and as Metzen said both Thrall and Garrosh will probably not have their parents live up to their expectations.

I just hope to see all the warlords kick this panda asses all over Draenor! Haha.

But on a serious note, I think Blizz is taking a huge gamble with this expansion because of it's time paradox, which they are trying hard to "uncover" it and make the players not think about how the past/present/future are all connected.

Yeah it was asked at BlizzCon how the orcs on Draenor would react to seeing their wepons in hands of others, luckily Garrosh threw away Gorehowl so that's not a problem but how would Orgrim Doomhammer react to seeing Thrall with the Doomhammer, Blizzard simply said that this scenario would not be encountered since they don't want this to be focus of the expansion.

There is no new race they should add Arrokea to Alliance and Ogres to Horde

If they ever had the desire to add ogres this was their perfect chanse but if they don't want to add ogres in an expansion where one of the prime enemies are ogres they'll probably never add ogres. As for Arakkoa I have a hard time seeing why they would pick the Alliance over the Horde or just be neutral.

It's fantasy, there is always a way.

But I'm actually happy no new races/classes.

Ofcourse there is always a way I just said now was the best time possible.

And I can agree with you that it's nice not to see any new class or race since every hour they spend making leveling content removes one hour of endgame content and I personally revere end game content more than leveling content.

WoW is becoming bullshit on so many levels. I'm not talking technical aspects but the lore. They're basically taking what made the franchise great and recycling every bit of it in probably the poorest possible way. I wasn't expecting much to begin with but managing to disappoint even these low expectations is truly an achievement. Anyway, garrisons look like something interesting, provided they don't mess up something. At least they've finally revamped the character models. Vanilla ones are not something that you'd expect in 2013.

I don't really see how they recycled it since we're not going into the past but an alternative reality meaning what we do on Draenor has no impact on the past lore of either Azeroth or Draenor in any remote way, shape or form.

As for changing up the models I can agree with your enthuisiasm, but everyone will probably play Blood Elf, Draenei and Human females when those models get updated due to their big juicy racial abilities, gift of Naaru I'd say.
