That depends, there are a lot of ways to handle this. I usually surround the towers that I build with Moon Wells so that the opponent has a difficult time reaching them. I also wait for attacks first, and then I go exploring or counter-attack the enemy. Some units can go invisible and that's quite helpful to predict enemy attacks or be one step ahead of your opponent. The Highbourne buildings, for instance, allows you to observe different regions of the map. It's always good to know what you want to aim for.
Regarding Gold, there are more gold mines on the map so it's always good to keep that in mind that the gold mine you have won't be the last. It's for the best to keep your troops alive which can conserve quite a lot of gold and lumber while also building exactly what you need where you need it.
All right, glad to hear it, I will try it in this version or maybe in the completed version next year. Furthermore, there are some points about the campaign I want to tell for the future release, if is not too late:
BEGINNING
-In the Barrow Den where Malfurion is going to 'wake up' the druids, why not adding a Druid of the Talon? Because, there are 2 diferente buildings and only 1 type of unit (Druid of the Claw) appear.
-When the heroes get close to something before the conversation and the 'recomendation of saving before advancing', it seems to be very close to that something. For example, in Chapter 2 first boss, Malfurion approach too much to the defiled fountain and after the conversation he and the units got a little far away, you know what I mean? I guess it should start in the position where they are talking.
-I've seen the corupted beasts are composed by wolfes, spiders, furbolgs and bears, but what about the murlocs and the trolls, there appear in the forest, too, so why they don't appear as corrupted ones in Chapter 4, 5, 6 and in the satyr's bases.
SENTINELS
-Malfurion's Tree Form ability is still going to be that way, upgrading healing abilities and changing his form? I think it should be worked a bit more, it can have something more, I'm not sure what but there is more that can be added to that ability.
-I remember Malfurion's Narute's Wrath affects also inmune magic units but now it doesn't, I'm not sure if that was OK or it was an error.
-Fordred showed 3 of his abilities but I'm not sure what was his ultimate ability (level 6 ability).
-Astraanar doesn´t have much space to create buildings, I have to get the trees off to build them, can you give space to create more buildings?.
-The satyr's orange base, Chapter 4, has some fel orc units, can the other bases have fel orc units, too? Or only that one?. Also, does that mean the fel orcs and the satyrs are working TOGETHER for the Burning Legion?
-I know the satyr hellmaster is the strongest among the satyrs but, is it possible you can make 'satyr heroes' for Chapter 4 and 5? Since in Chapter 6 there is a 'voidwalker hero', to increase the challenge.
-Are there gonna be fel orc units in the satyr's bases in Chapter 5?
-Is there gonna be another unit for the ranks of the sentinels? Because I'm still wondering about that 'Druid of the Jaw', was that a real unit for the sentinels? Or was it really an april fools joke?.
-There is a big error with Jarod's Battle Shout ability, everytime I use it, it doesn´t 'battle shouted' the spellcaster enemy units. Instead, they are 'moonfired' (that's Tyrande's ability) and I can't stop those spellcasters, it's kind of annoying.
-If Shalis, Chapter 6, is only available in that optional quest, I don´t think she needs to earn experience because only Malfurion, Tyrande, Faradrella and Jarod are going to pass to the next chapter.
-There is another big error in there after rescuing Faradrella, she is in level 10 but she still has 9 abilities, I still don't get it.
-I'm still wondering if Malfurion is going to have an aura back. Also, if the Horn of Cenarius is going to be upgraded to make it a fine item for his inventory.
HIGHBORNE
-Why shouldn't Malfurion's Affinity Aura regenerate more mana than it already should?.
-If all the units are going to have the 'red color', then I guess the Highmistress should have it, because I don't see a 'red color' in her, neither in the Arcane Wyrms.
-I guess there should be a 'satyr hero' in Chapter 5 and 6, if it is possible.
-Regarding the Burning Legion base, it should have more buildings, units and defenses to make it a bit more challenging.
-There must be more units when going for Velinde to make it more challenging.
-The Naga Sea Witch is in level 12, so that means she can cast tornado but she doesn't cast it, or that's not her ultimate ability.
-To being the first naga base I've faced, it was a bit challenging, I hope for the next ones to be more challenging.
-I see the ending in Chapter 6 has changed, so that means there is no Queen Azshara or she will make an appareance in future chapters?.
Those are the point I wanted to tell after playing your latest version and I'm hopping to play the full version next year.
