err what is it called cuz i was never able to find it

nvm its the warcraft coventer which i already had. well anyways can you help me with converting something to and mdx. i was using a tutorial in momm or w/e and it told me to save something in notepad then convert wuts in the notepad into an mdx but the converter never allows me to convert it.

Thats because its fecked up. You probably did something wrong, and you should be getting an error. And make sure the file is a mdl that you're converting to mdx

Anywho, if you load the mdl into notepad/wordpad, and just hit "Save", it should stay as a mdl. Unless something screwed it up somehow

ok so no 'save as' rite

but wait, it tells me to open up notepad and copy n paste so it wont make a difference

Save and save-as are practically the same, except save-as generates a new file. Unless you are just running Notepad, or the file is read-only, then that shouldn't happen

yea but its not telling me to open a file up with notepad its telling me to open up notepad and copy and paste

what u do is this i assume your using gmax and dex script to export your model....after you export open up a new notepad and copy and pase all lines of code from the listener minus the blue text and the export successful text at the end of the listener. Then from your new notepad where you pasted all the code choose file save as and your gonna have to add in a .mdl at the end of whatever you name your file/you must do this cause it wont automatically save your file as an mdl if not. then open up yogbuls and load that new mdl file choose convert to mdx. this should work.

err the .mdl was what i did the first time and it wont save as a mdl

err scratch that too but i got loaded the file and when i click on convert an error message comes up saying "error reading model file: error(line 1): unexpected token
