I am honestly a fan of these minimalist effects that give the impression of power. It can cover a broad scope of abilities and can serve as a visual reminder of just about anything. That said, the first tier is very transparent and not very visible, at least in my attempted application. I feel like it would serve a much better role in an RPG where the effect scales with a Hero's ability as it is not very visible when the camera is further away (obviously not the fault of the model).

added a impact model that can be displayed on top of the buff. it uses a hopefully nice looking combination of modelspace and non-modelspace emitters.
