I don't like it that much.
The cameras are pretty basic. Not the standard WCIII gameplay camera, but it's pretty close.
The terrain is alright. Not that bad. But again, standard. Could use some more doodads like shrub, flowers, grass, mushrooms, rocks, etc.
It's incredibly short. Nothing really happens. It's more like some kind of intro than a full cinematic.
And there is no air, no fog, and no imported music (or any imported files).
I can't give you a higher rating than a 2/5 for now. There's lots you can improve.
its preaty good
Alright, just watched V1.1.
The terrain looks better, with the shrub and rocks, etc. But what I still miss is air and fog. You can add these really easy (Map Options and Map Preferences), and it makes it look much better.
You added some cameras, but they are still pretty basic (especially the first couple). You could, for example, move the cameras through the forest, instead of over them. Or make the camera float over the forest, but not in such a straight line.
The ending is better as well. But all of those magma units are still just standing there, you know? You could make them spawn fire/volcanos, or have them destroy trees and buildings. Something like that.
If you do these things, I'll definitely give it a 3/5 or higher.
Here, test this map. I used yours and put a couple of cameras in there.
Gives you a 4/5 for trying hard.
+rep too....nicely done.
About the cinematic:
On a more personal note, I do not like the name of the fire elemental either.
- Your English really needs some work. There were many grammatical/spelling mistakes.
- The camera could be better (the camera didn't move smoothly).
- The terrain is... standard, let's call it standard. I hate spammed cinematic doodads (cinematic doodads look horrible, especially when spammed).
- There's no real story. And even if it did, it's got a lot of flaws (a lord walks into a forest, meats a soldier who's never even seen his Lord before, not recognizes a lord when he sees one and tells him there's some kind of extremely weak lava spawn trapped inside a magical barrier).
My questions: why trap an extremely weak unit? What's a magical barrier doing in a forest? How come the footman doesn't know his lord? What's the use of that encampment there? The other footmen are just looking at how a spawn of Ragna Rock is sitting there? Etc.- I hated the dialogs. This is not the way a footman talks to a lord (and vice versa). To me, it sounded like "Dude, there's a lava spawn here" - "Orly?" - "Yarly".
Actually, that's almost exactly what it was.- Everyone just happened to miss that huge fiery mountain/volcano?
- In the scene where the footman calls the lord, you can't even see the footman (all this time I thought he was talking to one of the three footmen you could actually see).
- CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL - no, really. Drop the caps in the title.
"Ragna Rock" seems like a lame pun for a huge boulder.
If it would be named "Ragnarok", I'd rather think of Norse mythology than a fire elemental, but oh well. That doesn't cost you any points.
Rejected until updated.
Wikipedia doesn't know that :/and by the way. ragna rock is the norwegian name of a creature that is said to destroy the world.
