Some kind of petrified footman

I think this idea would be better with triggers, not a model.
You could use the trigger Unit - Pause Unit, for a specific footman pose or Animation - Set Unit's animation speed to 0%.

For example: For a petrified Footman during attack animation:
Animation - Play Footman's Attack Animation
*Insert Wait or Timer Trigger Here*
Animation - Set Unit's animation speed to 0%.

You can do it for many animations and I think it would look cool if there was a petrified footman in attacking position and another one in stand position and so on. Variety and variation and what not.

For the coloring, you could mess with it in the Object editor. Maybe 70 Red, 70 Green and 70 Blue out of 255?

You can give them the ability 'Locust' to make them unselectable.

But this solution. doesn't include the 'Shattering Stone death animation" so sorry ehh... I tried.
